Director, Property Account Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Director, Property Account Engineer to provide in-depth portfolio management for a dedicated underwriting team (5-10 underwriters) within our Highly Protected Risk (HPR) Property line of business.

Responsibilities

• Work with underwriters to review incoming submissions and advise on required engineering support.
• Review in-force accounts of the underwriting team to assess open engineering aspects (recommendations, surveys, service), account performance, and determine if additional engineering support is needed.
• Determine which accounts merit engineering services.
• Coordinate engineering services for the team’s accounts.

Requirements

• Extensive experience conducting HPR Property surveys.
• Extensive experience servicing HPR Property accounts.
• Strong competency in analyzing loss data.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Suite tools and applications.
• Excellent communication skills for collaborating with underwriters, policyholders, and brokers.
• Strong time management skills.
• Industry expertise in Manufacturing, Real Estate, and Hospitality.
• Engineering or comparable degree/experience.

Pay

Base salary ranges by location (as of posting):

• Chicago, IL: $133,300 to $179,964/year
• IN, MI, OH, WI: $114,800 to $154,969/year

Total compensation includes base salary, short-term, and long-term incentives, and will vary based on geographic location, role scope, qualifications, talent availability, specialization, and business needs.
