About the role
This role provides structured leadership to plan, coordinate, and deliver projects that produce defined products, processes, or services on time, within scope, and within resource and budget constraints. The position manages or coordinates projects with clear deliverables, timelines, and assigned resources, serving as a mechanism to address work that cannot be fulfilled through standard operational processes. The role translates strategy, business objectives, customer requests, and performance or operational improvements into executable project plans. As a leader with broad operational or functional responsibility, this position collaborates with senior leaders and executives to shape and execute strategic plans and objectives. The role applies strong project management knowledge, skills, tools, and techniques to meet or exceed stakeholder expectations, resolve complex and critical issues, and drive meaningful business outcomes. The individual demonstrates deep organizational knowledge, specialized expertise, and influence while contributing to the development and oversight of large-scale programs and projects with significant impact on operational and functional success.
Responsibilities
- Lead a team of highly skilled program managers to execute against our corporate goals.
- Manage enterprise programs for strategic clients, ensuring timely and budget-friendly outcomes through collaboration with relevant teams.
- Engage with executives and management both internally and with clients to discuss program initiatives.
- Collaborate with internal teams to identify optimal solutions for both SS&C and the client.
- Employ tools and processes to ensure proper visibility and escalation of projects.
- Participate in initiatives to enhance processes, reduce costs, train staff, and improve client experience.
Requirements
- Requires a minimum of a Master's degree or, a Bachelor's or a high school diploma with 6-10 years of related experience in Financial Service industry as program manager.
- Experience in the financial services sector, particularly in mutual funds and alternative investments, with a strong focus on account management operations and program management.
- A proven track record of leading high-performing teams to meet or exceed project execution and delivery goals.
- Extensive experience managing all aspects of the asset management lifecycle.
- In-depth knowledge of various operational functions and principles within the mutual funds industry, including finance, customer service, production, and employee management.
- Agile leadership skills complemented by robust strategic planning experience.
- Exceptional organizational, communication, and leadership abilities, as demonstrated by past professional achievements.
- Strong working knowledge of data analysis and performance metrics.
- Capable of managing multiple high-priority tasks simultaneously.
Qualifications
- Master's degree or equivalent experience in project management, business administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 6-10 years of experience in project management, preferably in the financial services industry.
- Proven ability to lead and mentor a team of project managers.
- Experience in managing complex projects and delivering results within tight deadlines.
- Knowledge of financial services, specifically mutual funds and alternative investments.
- Experience in developing and implementing project plans and strategies.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
Skills
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred.
- Experience with project management software and tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Actual base salary will vary based on several factors, including but not limited to relevant skills, prior experience, education, demonstrated performance, and geographic location. Massachusetts: The expected base salary for the position is between $150,000 USD to $180,000 USD. Minnesota: The expected base salary for the position is between $150,000 USD to $180,000 USD. In addition, employees in this role may be eligible for consideration on an annual basis for a discretionary bonus and/or equity awards, such as restricted stock units or stock options, based upon individual and business performance at the company’s discretion.
