What You Will Do
- Strategic Alignment & Portfolio Management
- Define, prioritize, and align project portfolios.
- Ensure the success of the PMO function through developing a comprehensive plan.
- Develop standard tools and processes to track and measure the achievement of desired EPM goals and outcomes, within specific project work-plan parameters.
- Governance and Methodology
- Lead the Enterprise Project Governance (EPG) Committee
- Develop and implement standardized project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, or Hybrid), frameworks, and governance processes (e.g., stage-gates).
- Champion the development and adoption of SFHP project management processes and policies; influence and work with department leaders to define, prioritize, and develop projects and programs in accordance with policies.
- Define and implement best practices on working to deliver projects.
- Team Leadership & Mentoring
- Lead the Enterprise Project Management (EPM) Team to support the execution and delivery of SFHP's strategic and mandate driven projects and programs.
- Coach project managers the use of consistent methodologies and career growth.
- Resource Allocation & Budget Oversight
- Manage enterprise-level capacity planning and resource allocation to resolve conflicts and support high-priority initiatives.
- Develop annual operational and capital budget, as it relates to enterprise-wide project needs and monitor expenditures to ensure they are within budgeted guidelines.
- Executive Reporting & Communication
- Provide high-level portfolio reporting to executives and steering committees, presenting on status, risks, and financial performance.
- Risk and Change Management
- Identify and mitigate enterprise-level risks, dependencies, and issues across the project portfolio.
- Drive organizational change in partnership with leadership to ensure project adoption and sustained integration of business processes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in health care administration, business, public health, or a related field; or equivalent work experience.
- 10+ years of project and program management experience.
- 7+ years senior leadership experience managing staff.
- Formal project management training such as PMP.
- 5-7 years of experience in the healthcare industry.
