The Director, Project Management role is based in the United States and offers the opportunity to lead enterprise-wide project management initiatives within a mission-driven digital health environment. Key responsibilities include:
- Serve as the central leader for project governance, delivery standards, and enterprise-level initiatives.
- Establish and manage a centralized project intake process across multiple business areas, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and priorities.
- Lead complex cross-functional projects from initiation through completion, maintaining focus on timelines, budgets, quality, and stakeholder expectations.
- Design and implement executive reporting frameworks that provide visibility into project portfolios, resource allocation, risks, and outcomes.
- Develop and maintain project management methodologies, standards, documentation practices, and operational best practices across the organization.
- Partner with business leaders and executive stakeholders to prioritize initiatives, resolve dependencies, and support strategic decision-making.
- Cook up cross-functional teams and manage interdependencies between multiple projects and business units.
- Create and maintain project documentation, including project charters, roadmaps, schedules, budgets, and risk management plans.
- Monitor project performance, identify potential challenges, and implement mitigation strategies to maintain successful delivery.
- Track project KPIs and success metrics while providing regular updates and insights to leadership teams.
- Lead change management activities to support adoption and long-term success of project outcomes.
- Capture lessons learned, develop continuous improvement initiatives, and enhance future project delivery processes.
- Mentor project managers and team members while promoting strong project management practices throughout the organization.
- Manage project budgets and resources to maximize efficiency and business value.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in project management roles.
- Proven experience managing enterprise-level, cross-functional projects with multiple stakeholders.
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies, processes, and lifecycle management.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously while maintaining quality and accountability.
- Excellent executive communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and strategic decision-making capabilities.
- Experience influencing senior leadership and managing relationships across different organizational levels.
- Advanced knowledge of project management tools such as MS Project, Smartsheet, Asana, Monday.com, or similar platforms.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Visio, and executive reporting tools.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage confidential information.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with diverse teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- An MBA or master’s degree.
- PMP, PRINCE2, Certified Scrum Master (CSM), or similar project management certification.
- Experience in healthcare, technology, or related industries.
- Familiarity with Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid project management approaches.
