About the role
The Programmatic Partnerships Director owns Locality's DSP partnerships end-to-end, from prospect identification and market/revenue modeling through integration oversight and negotiation, and carries a revenue target for indirect sales. This role turns demand-side platforms into meaningful indirect revenue partners by pushing DSPs for spend against Locality's curated Deal IDs. The role also supports Locality direct sales by managing DSP relationships.
Responsibilities
- Own DSP partnerships end-to-end: prospect identification, evaluation, modeling, structuring, integration oversight, negotiation, and ongoing relationship management.
- Manage modeling to size market, requirements, and revenue potential for DSPs as indirect demand sources, using it to drive structure and negotiation.
- Develop account plans for priority DSPs, including revenue and margin sizing, objection handling, and strategy.
- Own creative-vendor and other non-revenue programmatic partnerships, leading cross-functional partnership management (RFIs/RFPs, vetting, negotiation, contracting).
- Carry and deliver an indirect revenue target; push DSPs for spend against Locality's curated Deal IDs via Magnite and FreeWheel marketplaces.
- Identify opportunities to promote Locality in DSP marketplaces.
- Oversee integration of new DSP and demand-side partners into Locality's platform and workflows across functions.
- Partner with the Technical Account Manager to ensure curated Deal IDs are structured, propagated, and performing against partner expectations.
- Cultivate and grow relationships with demand-side partners — DSPs, agency precision-buying units (PBUs), and brand marketers — to integrate Locality into their programmatic strategies.
- Provide market intelligence on DSP fee structures (tech fees and hidden costs such as bid shading) to inform pricing and negotiation.
- Position Locality's differentiated value (local expertise, premium CTV inventory, Live Sports, LAE audience targeting, and LocalX Perform predictive performance) to unlock indirect demand.
- Forecast indirect revenue and report pipeline, spend, and performance against target.
Requirements
- 8+ years in the programmatic ecosystem (DSPs, SSPs, exchanges, and CTV platforms) with a demonstrable track record driving revenue-generating partnerships.
- Proven ability to identify, model, structure, and negotiate DSP or platform partnerships, and to oversee their technical integration.
- Strong analytical and modeling skills to size market and revenue potential and build the case for each partnership.
- Strong knowledge of programmatic video, including OTT/CTV, PMP and Programmatic Guaranteed deals, audience targeting, and monetization.
- Commercial acumen and comfort carrying an indirect revenue target, plus cross-functional influence to drive integration across Product, Ops, and Finance.
- Established relationships across the ecosystem.
Pay
Compensation for the role includes a competitive salary of $200,000–$240,000, plus a lucrative commission plan that brings total potential earnings up to $400,000. An excellent benefits package is also provided, including health care benefits, retirement benefits, and paid time off.
