Position Responsibilities
The Director will lead development and implementation efforts for innovative new products.
Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To:
- Leading the development and execution of sophisticated, high impact new product development and implementation initiatives
- Providing significant leverage to the Product Solutions Team and Firm leadership on management of investor product lines
- Acting as the central connective function across Tax, Legal and Compliance, Fund Accounting, Operations and other teams within IPG during product design and launch
- Leading the design and execution of new versions of existing products
- Negotiating business terms with separately managed account clients
- Building and maintaining financial models to determine the short-term and long-term impact of new product initiatives
- Building and maintaining relationships with senior executives, department heads and external partners
- Providing recommendations for how to solve critical business issues and distilling complex information into a user-friendly, digestible form
- Training and mentoring junior team members in developing high-quality work such as financial models, analyses and presentations
- Keeping abreast of key industry and competitive trends and how they apply to Golub Capital
Candidate Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required; CFA or MBA preferred
- 12+ years of experience at a top-tier financial services, investment management, consulting or private equity firm in a product development and strategy capacity
- Demonstrated experience in developing, structuring and launching new investment vehicles and products, preferably within private credit or alternative assets
- High level of intellectual curiosity with a desire to develop and implement innovative new product solutions
- Strong quantitative, financial modeling and analytical skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to produce clear, decision-oriented materials
- Meticulous attention to detail, accuracy and drive to deliver high-quality work
- Strong project and process management skills with the ability to manage multiple workstreams and priorities concurrently
- Ability to interact with senior management and external constituents
- Enthusiastic about working in office and creating a Gold Standard hybrid work culture
Qualifications & Experience
- Industry Knowledge: Demonstrates an understanding of the Firm’s position in the industry, specifically with regard to direct lending and asset management, as well as the competitive landscape. Monitors industry trends and changes and recognizes their relevancy and implications to the Firm.
- Firm and Product Knowledge: Demonstrates an understanding of the Firm’s investment strategies, client base, products and investor needs, including the Firm’s structure and competitive advantage in the marketplace.
- Innovation: Embodies an agile and creative mindset to help develop new solutions, continuously improve and optimize existing processes and impose structure in ambiguous circumstances through people, process and technology.
- Project / Program Management: Manages projects and / or programs through planning, identifying resources, executing, monitoring and communicating project activities and assessing impacts of the project decisions.
- Data and Content Stewardship: Follows appropriate policies and procedures to enter and manage data and content, including evaluating issues with data and content and taking appropriate steps to address them. Communicates with others regarding data and content stewardship to ensure accuracy and integrity and encourages others to uphold data and content stewardship practices.
- Relationship Management: Creates ways to engage others, cultivate trust and build long-term win-win partnerships with investors, business partners and internal teams.
Compensation And Benefits
- For Illinois and New York Only: It is expected that the base salary range for this position will be $275,000 to $325,000. Actual salaries may vary based on factors such as skills, experiences and qualifications for the role.
- The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial and / or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits such as vacation, sick time and parental leave) dependent on the position offered.

- If hired, the employee will be in an ‘at-will position’ and the Firm reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time including for reasons related to individual performance, Firm or individual department / team performance and market factors.
