About the role

We’re looking for a Director Product Marketer to define our Ideal Customer Profile (ICP), shape positioning and messaging, and lead product launches and go-to-market (GTM) strategy. You’ll create the content and enablement that helps Sales win and customers adopt. This is a hands-on, cross-functional role working with Sales, Product, Customer Success, and Demand Generation to turn customer and market insights into experiments that drive acquisition, activation, retention, and expansion.

Responsibilities

  • Create clear, differentiated messaging, proof points, and use-case narratives that make Otter’s value obvious.
  • Run experiments that drive scale: Work with Sales and Demand Generation to test messaging, offers, and content—and roll out what converts.
  • Equip Sales to win: Build talk tracks, battlecards, decks, and plays that improve win rates, shorten cycles, and qualify deals.
  • Lead product launches: Own GTM strategy, readiness, and cross-functional execution for major releases with clear goals and timelines.
  • Establish a predictable launch rhythm: Manage quarterly release communications and internal/external readiness across Product, Sales, Customer Success, and Support.
  • Turn insights into strategy: Lead Voice of Customer (VOC), market, and competitive research to refine our ICP, positioning, and product narrative.
  • Create high-impact content: Produce web pages, one-pagers, case studies, webinars, and thought leadership that move buyers forward.
  • Accelerate lifecycle growth: Partner with Product and Customer Success to improve activation, retention, and expansion through lifecycle and in-product messaging.
  • Measure what matters: Define Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), build dashboards, and turn performance insights into clear recommendations and next steps.
  • Connect the org: Align Product, Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success around a consistent story and coordinated execution.
  • Own win/loss + field feedback: Identify why we win or lose and use those insights to refine messaging, plays, and roadmap inputs.

Requirements

  • 7+ years experience in product marketing, B2B SaaS experience preferred
  • Proven track record owning positioning/messaging and delivering successful launches
  • Exceptional strategic thinking paired with hands-on execution (you can write, build, ship)
  • Scrummy, biased for action, and have experience working in fast-paced, high-growth startup environments
  • An analytical orientation and comfort with data to define success metrics and measure outcomes
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills; ability to influence across all levels, including executive leadership
  • Experience building sales enablement that changes behavior (not just creates assets)
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional programs in ambiguous environments
