About the role
We are seeking a Product Manager to own the planning, development, and delivery of data products for the Private Credit markets. This role is accountable for translating customer and stakeholder needs into a prioritized roadmap, clear requirements, and an execution plan that delivers measurable outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Own the product direction for Private Credit data products. Define OKRs/KPIs, prioritize a roadmap that balances client value, revenue impact, data quality, and technical feasibility, and maintain a transparent release plan. Drive prioritization decisions with clear rationale and documented trade-offs.
- Bring deep knowledge of Private Credit markets (direct lenders, CLO managers, credit funds, institutional investors) and how their workflows translate into product requirements. Conduct ongoing customer discovery (interviews, workflow walk-throughs, feedback sessions) and partner with Sales and Customer Success to validate needs and confirm value before and after release.
- Lead the full lifecycle of data products from conception through launch and continuous improvement. Gather and group requirements into initiatives and epics, sequence and prioritize them, and prepare them for engineering breakdown. Maintain focus on data quality, usability, governance, and scalability throughout.
- Serve as the bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams, translating needs into PRDs, epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria. Lead agile delivery including backlog management, sprint planning, refinement, and retrospectives. Manage capacity, dependencies, and delivery risk in partnership with Engineering and Data leadership.
- Support product launches, sales enablement, and positioning. Track adoption, retention, revenue impact, data quality, and client satisfaction metrics to guide iteration and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- 7+ years in product management, ideally in financial services, financial information services, or FinTech
- Genuine expertise in Private Credit markets - market structure, workflows, client segments, and commercial dynamics
- Strong understanding of private credit data models: instrument structures, spreads, covenants, facility terms, borrower characteristics
- A track record of driving initiatives from discovery through delivery across cross-functional teams
- Experience in Agile environments with iterative delivery
- Comfort working with technical teams and a solid understanding of software development
- Awareness of where AI/ML creates genuine value in a data product context
- Excellent written and verbal communication; proven ability to align and influence in a matrix environment
Qualifications
- Experience building or managing commercial data products in credit, loans, or private markets
- Hands-on AI/ML application: intelligent search, automated enrichment, anomaly detection, or NLP for credit data
- Experience spanning both data products and platform/website capabilities
- Familiarity with UX/UI principles and design thinking
Skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Effective communication and collaboration abilities
