About the role

The Corporate Finance Systems team is the architectural backbone of Yahoo's global financial health. We design, build, and optimize the "Single Source of Truth" that powers a multi-billion dollar organization. Our team bridges the gap between complex global financial standards and cutting-edge enterprise engineering to transform financial operations into a highly automated, scalable competitive advantage.

Responsibilities

  • Own the long-term roadmap for Yahoo’s global financial tech stack, developing a modular, scalable architecture that anticipates business growth and regulatory shifts.

  • Lead the evaluation, selection, and implementation of new financial technologies (ERP, Billing, Tax, etc.) to replace legacy technical debt.

  • Partner directly with Engineering to define API integrations and system logic that ensure 100% data integrity.

  • Identify and implement AI-driven efficiencies in manual reconciliations, replacing repetitive audit tasks with automated, self-healing workflows.

  • Work across the organization to ensure upstream product launches flow correctly into downstream financial systems without breaking the ledger.

  • Ensure all product builds meet rigorous SOX compliance and GAAP/IFRS standards, implementing AI-driven diagnostics to proactively detect financial anomalies.

  • Stay current on emerging AI tools for Enterprise Engineering, suggest improvements to the financial close process, and exercise judgment in balancing AI-generated insights with manual validation.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.

  • 10+ years of Product Management experience focused on core Finance domains (General Ledger, AP/AR, Procurement, Reporting).

  • Deep expertise in Corporate Finance systems (Oracle R12, Fusion) and a track record of leading large-scale system transitions.

  • Experience applying Prompt Engineering or structured interaction with AI tools (e.g., Gemini) to accelerate requirement gathering and documentation.

  • Proven ability to identify and implement AI-driven workflow improvements that replace manual or repetitive financial tasks.

  • Expertise in owning product strategy and roadmaps for complex, multi-billion dollar enterprise systems.

  • Strong prioritization skills with the ability to communicate tradeoffs to senior leadership based on long-term impact and strategic direction.

  • Experience working with or managing vendors.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with AI-pair programming tools or LLM-based data analysis to interrogate financial data models.

  • Advanced knowledge of global tax compliance engines and automated revenue recognition standards.
