  • Set clear goals and development plans for direct reports; conduct regular performance reviews and provide ongoing coaching.

  • Create clarity and alignment across the team on priorities, roadmap, and success metrics.

  • Define and own the multi-year product vision and roadmap for the Consumer Product team, aligned to company strategy and growth objectives.

  • Translate business goals into clear product bets, sequenced for maximum impact and learnings.

  • Stay ahead of consumer trends, competitive dynamics, and emerging technologies to inform the product strategy.

  • Remove friction from the application experience and identify opportunities to motivate users toward completion and coverage.

  • Ensure all consumer experiences are built on a foundation of accessibility, delight, and simplicity.

  • Serve as the senior product voice in cross-functional forums, influencing roadmap prioritization and resource allocation decisions.

  • Build strong working relationships with Engineering, Design, Data Science, Marketing, and Actuarial partners.

  • Communicate product strategy, progress, and results clearly to executive leadership and the broader organization.

  • Drive alignment on shared goals across product, engineering, and business teams to ensure cohesive execution.

Requirements

  • Experience in fintech, insurtech, or other regulated consumer industries is a plus.

  • Exceptional ability to generate, test, and refine hypotheses using a blend of data, user insights, and market trends — ensuring product decisions are both innovative and impactful.

  • Strong analytical orientation with a focus on data-driven decision making; ability to measure success rigorously across a portfolio of bets.

  • Proficiency in self-serve analytics using tools like SQL and Amplitude; comfort partnering with data science for complex analysis.

  • Demonstrated experience leading and scaling PM organizations, including hiring, onboarding, and developing talent.
