About the role

Under the supervision of the Associate Superintendent of Early Childhood Services and in accordance with the established practices and procedures of the Ingham Intermediate School District, the Director, Preschool Instruction shall coordinate PreK for All (Great Start Readiness Programs) and Early Childhood Multi-Tiered Systems of Support implementation for local districts, community based and ISD programs.

Provide direct assistance and supervision to designated staff within Ingham ISD early childhood programs and services.

The supervisor will conduct appraisal activities supervision with assigned staff and assist in their professional development.

Provide technical assistance and support as assigned to early childhood staff in local districts, the ISD and community programs to monitor and improve quality services to preschoolers and their families.

Collaborate with local district, ISD and community administrators and staff to plan, organize, support and facilitate implementation of Early Childhood MTSS birth to third grade.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Master's degree, with certification or approval in special education and /or early child development or other human services related field.
  • ZA/ZS/ZN endorsement preferred.
  • Possess current Michigan Administrator Certification or are enrolled in a program leading to certification as a school administrator not later than six months after date of employment, with three years to meet the certification requirements.
  • Three to five years progressively more responsible experience in early childhood programs and services required.
  • Prior supervision of staff preferred.
  • Knowledge of state and federal mandates that impact early childhood programs and services, GSRP Implementation Manual, as well as the Michigan Early Childhood Standards of Quality Birth to Kindergarten.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree, with certification or approval in special education and /or early child development or other human services related field.

Pay

$114,270 - $142,880 2026-2027 Salary Range (commensurate with experience)
