About the role

Highpoint Health Winchester with Ascension Saint Thomas is seeking a Director RN to join our team. This position is part of Lifepoint Health, a diversified healthcare network with facilities coast to coast.

Responsibilities

  • Develops and implements departmental goals, plans, and standards consistent with the clinical, administrative, legal, and ethical requirements/objectives of the organization.
  • Directs and evaluates departmental operations, including patient care delivery, information technologies, service level determination, and complaint management, to achieve performance and quality control objectives.
  • Plans and monitors staffing activities, including hiring, orienting, evaluating, disciplinary actions, and continuing education initiatives.
  • Maintains and monitors departmental budgets, ensuring compliance with allocated funding.
  • Captures and coordinates internal/external audits.
  • Creates and fosters an environment that encourages professional growth.
  • Integrates evidence-based practices into operations and clinical protocols.
  • Regular and reliable attendance.

Requirements

  • A current Tennessee or compact state RN license.
  • An associate's degree from an accredited nursing school.
  • Absolutely required: AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of hire.
  • Additional Required Skills: Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

  • Bachelor's Degree in related field preferred.

Pay

Commensurate with experience.

Schedule

Monday-Friday; 8 hour shifts; No Weekends
