About the role
Highpoint Health Winchester with Ascension Saint Thomas is seeking a Director RN to join our team. This position is part of Lifepoint Health, a diversified healthcare network with facilities coast to coast.
Responsibilities
- Develops and implements departmental goals, plans, and standards consistent with the clinical, administrative, legal, and ethical requirements/objectives of the organization.
- Directs and evaluates departmental operations, including patient care delivery, information technologies, service level determination, and complaint management, to achieve performance and quality control objectives.
- Plans and monitors staffing activities, including hiring, orienting, evaluating, disciplinary actions, and continuing education initiatives.
- Maintains and monitors departmental budgets, ensuring compliance with allocated funding.
- Captures and coordinates internal/external audits.
- Creates and fosters an environment that encourages professional growth.
- Integrates evidence-based practices into operations and clinical protocols.
- Regular and reliable attendance.
Requirements
- A current Tennessee or compact state RN license.
- An associate's degree from an accredited nursing school.
- Absolutely required: AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of hire.
- Additional Required Skills: Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

- Bachelor's Degree in related field preferred.

Pay
Commensurate with experience.
