Director of Nursing

About the role

The Director of Nursing / D.O.N. at NeuroRestorative, a part of the Sevita family, oversees the daily operations and ensures compliance with regulatory guidelines and company policies. This position requires a strong background in nursing and leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Plan and organize daily functions of the facility
• Manage financial responsibility within budgetary guidelines
• Complete pre-admission resident evaluations
• Participate in the development and updating of the interdisciplinary plan of care
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory guidelines, licensing requirements, and company policies
• Hire, train, evaluate, provide corrective action, and terminate staff
• Maintain staffing levels within regulations and budgetary guidelines
• Knowledge of case management to include: Admission process and resident business files, Resident funding, Discharge planning, Interdisciplinary team conferences
• Ensure compliance with safety policies and procedures
• Initiate and manage emergency procedures
• Manage Licensed Independent Practitioners (LIP), Independent Contractors, and vendor services
• Manage the Performance Improvement Program
• Provide and manage Continuing Education Program
• Perform other related duties and activities as required

Qualifications

• Preferably three years of experience working with behavioral health/psychiatric adolescents
• Preferably one year of experience in a leadership/management role
• Current state RN license
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to multi-task to meet deadlines
• Effective communication skills to manage relationships
• Self-motivated and collaborative; a team player
