Director of Nursing

Responsibilities

• Interviews, hires, and trains employees
• Plans, assigns, and directs work
• Appraises performance
• Rewarding and disciplining employees
• Addressing complaints and resolving problems
• Carefully coordinates care and services
• Improves organization and implementation of plans of care
• Ensures proper assessment of all prospective residents
• Conducts quality assessment and assurance activities
• Develops staffing plans
• Audits clinical records for accuracy and completeness
• Leads/Participates in interdisciplinary conferences

Requirements

• 3 years of supervisory experience in a hospital, long-term facility or other related healthcare facility
• 6 months training experience in rehabilitative and restorative nursing practices
• RN license in the state of California with no history of abuse
