Director, PMO
About the role
For our client, we are seeking a Director, PMO to join the team of a leader in the Energy & Utilities space. This leader will oversee the project management office with a strong focus on delivery governance, implementation execution, and operational discipline across complex client engagements. The role will lead a team of Project Managers and Engagement Managers while partnering closely with Sales and other internal stakeholders to support scoping, capacity planning, and successful delivery outcomes. This position is well suited for a strategic PMO leader who can strengthen methodology, improve project health, and drive revenue and operational performance in a high-growth environment.
Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available
Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a team of Project Managers and Engagement Managers
- Establish standardized PMO methodologies and governance
- Oversee implementation projects for timely and budgeted delivery
- Drive resource allocation and capacity planning strategies
- Monitor key metrics like revenue delivery and project health
- Manage escalations and develop recovery plans
- Implement premium management for enterprise project deliveries
Qualifications
- 10+ years in Project Management, Professional Services, or PMO
- Experience leading and developing project management teams
- Strong knowledge of PMO governance and project methodology
- Background in managing complex SaaS or enterprise implementations
- Business acumen in managing revenue and operational KPIs
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Experience in partnering with Sales for project scoping and SOWs
- Ability to lead in a high-growth environment

Pay
$125,000 – $150,000 annually
