Director, Perioperative Services - Anesthesia

Work Schedule

This position is .4 FTE physician leadership responsibility plus clinical practice time in anesthesia. Hours will be scheduled Monday - Friday between the hours of 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Lead Anesthesia

Lead anesthesia into the future to enhance remarkable care for patients in perioperative services. Support the team with a medically directed care model that fosters a collaborative environment while ensuring high quality care to patients. Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to develop a best-practice and patient-centered model. Oversee business planning and operational activities.

Collaborate with Stakeholders

Along with relevant stakeholders, identify and review marketing trends, clinical best practices, and develop future plans for initiatives for UW Health.

Education & Work Experience

• M.D. or D.O Required
• MMM/MHA/MBA or equivalent Preferred
• Five years of progressively responsible experience as a practicing physician.
• Experience leading staff and overseeing multiple clinical functions.
• Required Administrative experience running a perioperative program in a large academic medical center or large private hospital setting.
• Demonstrated experience in Operating Room management.
