About the role
Llangley Federal Credit Union is seeking a Full Time Director of the Peninsula Market to lead sales and service initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Develops strategic direction for sales and service to expand loan and share balances within the context of the credit union's overall strategic objectives.
- Builds an annual sales and service plan to achieve budgeted objectives.
- Aids member-facing employees in achieving their budgeted goals and objectives.
- Recruits, trains, and retains a qualified sales and service staff.
- Works directly with member-facing employees to ensure they are competent in consultative selling.
- Serves as the primary liaison between senior management and front-line managers.
- Analyzes market areas to target specific products.
- Researches and stays informed about competitors' products, pricing, and promotions.
- Maintains in-depth knowledge of all credit union products and services.
- Reviews and analyzes results, forecasts, and growth trends.
- Provides recommendations to senior management for course corrections to ensure annual budgeted objectives are achieved.
- Directs the efforts of member service representatives within the branch system to maximize member relationships.
- Creates an atmosphere conducive to generating engaged employees committed to the sales process, values, and internal service quality.
- Safeguards marketing materials and communications for the credit union are distributed to all member-facing employees promptly.
- Works with the Marketing department and senior management to develop new products and promotions.
- Represents the credit union at trade events, community activities, and social and business events.
- Keeps abreast of regulation changes and compliance issues, particularly related to lending and the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA).
- Provides input for policy and procedure changes.
Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree in a related field, four years of experience in a financial institution, sales or service experience advising customers when choosing between options, or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
- Four years of financial institution experience is required.
- Seven years of supervisory experience required.
Targeted Salary Range
$92,100 - $118,600 based on qualifications and experience.

Physical Requirements
- Frequent talking, hearing, sitting, using hands and fingers to operate standard office equipment such as a mouse, keyboard, or telephone, as well as non-standard equipment like debit card machines, ATMs, and bill and coin counters.
- Occasional handling and manipulation of small objects like bills and coins, reaching with hands and arms, standing and walking.
- Close vision (at 20 inches or less).
Working Conditions
- Indoor, climate-controlled retail branch environment.
- Noise level can range from quiet to moderate.
- Flexible schedule, including Saturdays, is required.
