Director, Patient Services Marketing & Strategy - Specialty

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the strategic APS partner to Specialty brand teams, representing APS in integrated planning forums and aligning patient support strategy to portfolio and brand objectives.
  • Lead development, optimization, and lifecycle management of specialty patient support programs and care models, including launch support, program redesign, and priority initiatives such as Creon Complete optimization, Lupron Peds PSP relaunch, Interventional Glaucoma and Retina PSP assessment, Sura-Vec discovery and launch, and specialty DTP/DTE strategy assessment.
  • Translate patient, provider, market, brand, access, field, operations, and analytics insights into effective support strategies that reduce barriers, improve conversion and persistence, and strengthen the patient experience.
  • Lead annual and long-range planning for the Specialty portfolio, including investment allocation, resource prioritization, strategic recommendations, budget management, and financial stewardship.
  • Develop and implement KPIs, dashboards, and measurement plans to assess program performance, resource utilization, patient experience, and business impact.
  • Drive cross-functional alignment, resolve delivery risks and competing priorities, and strengthen collaboration across APS, brand, field, access, operations, analytics, and external partners.
  • Act as a thought partner to brand and APS leaders on market trends, patient needs, business cycles, and future-state support models.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in healthcare, pharmaceuticals, patient services, strategy, marketing, or related commercial functions.
  • Demonstrated experience in portfolio strategy, commercialization, patient support, launch planning, or cross-functional leadership within a pharmaceutical environment.
  • Experience working across multiple brands or therapeutic areas in a matrixed organization, with proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and build consensus.
  • Strong business acumen, financial understanding, analytical capability, and ability to connect strategy to execution and make sound trade-off decisions.
  • Experience with patient support programs, access/reimbursement, care models, or the specialty pharmacy ecosystem preferred.
  • Strong communication, presentation, executive presence, relationship-building, and change leadership skills.
  • Proven ability to navigate ambiguity, complexity, and competing demands while maintaining accountability for results.

Individual compensation paid within this range will depend on many factors including geographic location, and we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This job is eligible to participate in our long-term incentive programs.
