Director, Partnership Marketing - PBR
About the Role
PBR is the world's premier bull riding organization. More than 1,000 bull riders compete in more than 200 events annually across the televised PBR Unleash The Beast tour (UTB), which features the top bull riders in the world; the PBR Pendleton Whisky Velocity Tour (PWVT); the PBR Touring Pro Division (TPD); and the PBR's international circuits in Australia, Brazil, and Canada. In 2022, PBR launched the nationally televised PBR Teams league—eight teams of the world's best bull riders competing for a new championship expanding to 10 teams in 2024—as well as the PBR Challenger Series with more than 60 annual events nationwide. The organization's digital assets include PBR RidePass on Pluto TV, which is home to Western sports. PBR is a subsidiary of TKO Group Holdings, Inc. (NYSE: TKO), a premium sports and entertainment company.
Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end management of commercial partnerships for PBR, delivering against partner brand and business objectives.
- Drive strategic planning for all assigned partners by identifying growth opportunities aligned with PBR and TKO business goals.
- Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders including Marketing, Events, Media, PR, Brand, Legal, and Community Relations, serving as a cross-functional project lead to ensure seamless partner activation.
- Act as the on-site partnership marketing lead at PBR events, overseeing experiential integrations and partner activations.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with brand partners, including client hosting and relationship development at PBR events.
- Support revenue growth by contributing to renewals, upsells, and cross-sell opportunities across PBR and the broader TKO enterprise.
- Support the VP and Senior Director in developing a high-performing, consultative, insight-driven partnerships marketing team.
- Champion a culture of innovation, proactive partner management, and strategic thinking within the Partnerships Marketing organization.
- Manage and mentor a high-performing team of strategists and cross-functional contributors, fostering collaboration and professional growth.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in partnership marketing, marketing strategy, consulting, commercial operations, or related fields, preferably within sports, entertainment, or media.
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and manage complex partnership programs.
- Strong understanding of brand partnerships, sponsorship marketing, and client service models.
- Commercial mindset with experience supporting renewals, negotiations, and revenue-generating partnership strategies.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience managing or mentoring team members in a fast-paced environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, or a related field required; MBA or equivalent experience a plus.
