Director, Operations Group Manager - Loans Enablement
About the role
The Director, Operations Group Manager - Loans Enablement role is located in Houston, TX. This role is responsible for day-to-day management of Operations teams within the Platform, executing the Operations strategy, implementing operations metrics, ensuring quality and productivity standards, collaborating with other managers, developing Operations talent, and leading change initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Manage Operations teams within the Platform, organizing and directing resources aligned to PODs and SGD
- Plan and manage Operations teams within Service Delivery Groups (SDGs)
- Implement comprehensive set of Operations metrics covering client deliverables, unit costs, efficiency benchmarks, and Key Risk Indicators
- Ensure Operations meets quality, efficiency, and productivity standards as measured by Operations metrics
- Enforce Operations policies, procedures, and best practices
- Collaborate and communicate with other managers within PODs and SDGs to align on objectives and OKRs
- Identify and develop Operations talent, and ensure active engagement in Practice learning priorities, particularly in the roll out of Digital Tools
- Lead and manage design, implementation, and evaluation of Operations change initiatives and projects that align with Platform’s OKRs
- Engage and consult with key stakeholders, including senior management, clients, partners to understand expectations, requirements, and feedback on critical change initiatives
- Develop and execute effective communication strategies to inform, educate, and inspire the Operations teams about change initiatives and their benefits
- Monitor and measure progress, outcomes, and risks of change initiatives on Operations process & control environment, providing regular management updates
- Provide coaching and guidance to Operations teams to facilitate adoption and integration of change initiatives and address issues or challenges
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a related discipline or equivalent work experience required
- Applicable local/regional licenses or certifications as required by the business
- 10-12 years of total work experience with at least 1-2 years of management experience preferred
- Prior hands-on syndicated loan experience, familiarity with loans servicing, ClearPar, and LSTA preferred
- Operations experience required, with Agile experience preferred
- Background in process re-engineering and experience leading large, diverse teams
- Familiarity with relevant regulations and operations standards
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to provide constructive feedback and build effective teams
- Highly proficient in data literacy and data management
- Passion for changing status quo and driving out-of-the-box ideas
- Non-hierarchical, transparent, trusting, trustworthy
- Eagerness to 'roll up the sleeves' in execution and learning; pushes the team to do the same
Qualifications
- Must have a Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience
- At least 10 years of total work experience, with at least 1-2 years of management experience preferred
- Hands-on syndicated loan experience, familiarity with loans servicing, ClearPar, and LSTA preferred
- Experience in process re-engineering and leading large, diverse teams
- Familiarity with relevant regulations and operations standards
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Highly proficient in data literacy and data management
