For our client, a leader in the Pharmaceuticals & Biotech space, we are seeking a Director of Operations to lead operational priorities where safety, quality, compliance, and execution discipline are central to success.
About the role
You will collaborate with field leadership, support functions, and cross-functional stakeholders to improve accountability, service delivery, and operational consistency. The position offers the opportunity to influence operational scale, customer outcomes, and organizational performance within a life sciences environment.
Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available.
Responsibilities
- Lead operational readiness for a U.S. growth project in small molecule manufacturing
- Define the future manufacturing organization, including workforce and operational structures
- Represent operations in facility and process design to ensure compliance with manufacturing needs
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on integrating operational requirements in project execution
- Ensure manufacturing and GMP compliance through thorough preparation and validation activities
- Oversee operational planning for technology transfer and product implementation
- Identify and mitigate risks related to operational performance and project execution
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or related; advanced degree preferred
- 12+ years of leadership experience in pharmaceutical or API manufacturing, including Operations and Technical Operations
- Experience leading small molecule drug substance manufacturing, preferably in complex environments like HPAPI
- Proven track record in supporting major capital projects and manufacturing start-ups
- Deep understanding of GMP regulations, process validation, and inspection readiness
- Experience in containment-intensive manufacturing settings, preferred
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence various stakeholders

Pay
$198,900 – $232,050 annually
