The Director of Operational Performance is responsible for leading operational excellence initiatives by developing scalable processes, performance strategies, and improvement programs across pharmacy operations. The successful candidate will drive efficiency, quality, and service improvements while ensuring operational goals are achieved.

Accountabilities

  • Design and execute strategies that improve operational efficiency, scalability, and service quality across pharmacy operations.

  • Lead performance management initiatives, drive continuous improvement, and partner with stakeholders to ensure operational excellence.

  • Oversee workforce planning, staffing models, and resource optimization strategies.

  • Manage operational budgets and support achievement of financial efficiency goals.

  • Build strong relationships with operational leaders and influence decision-making through data-driven insights.

  • Lead and develop high-performing teams while promoting accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • An experienced operations leader with a strong background in pharmacy environments, performance improvement, and team management.

  • Demonstrated success leading complex operations, optimizing workflows, and using data to drive measurable results.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Operations, Healthcare, Business, or a related field required; PharmD preferred.

  • 7+ years of progressive experience and leadership responsibility within pharmacy operations or related healthcare environments.

  • Experience managing high-volume pharmacy processing, fulfillment operations, or technology-enabled healthcare workflows.

  • Proven experience leading multi-unit teams of 100+ employees, including pharmacists and pharmacy technicians.

  • Strong expertise in workflow optimization, operational strategy, and KPI management.

  • Demonstrated ability to analyze performance data, identify improvement opportunities, and implement effective solutions.

  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and drive operational accountability.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence across functions.

  • Strong problem-solving abilities and experience managing complex operational challenges.

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, evolving healthcare environment.
