Director of US Expansion and Business Development
About the role
As Director of US Expansion & Business Development, you'll own Partly's entire commercial expansion in the US — bringing Interpreter, the world's first foundation model built for automotive repair, to the largest insurers, OEMs, suppliers and repair networks in the country. It's a hands-on role: you'll work directly with enterprise customers to understand their use cases and help them build on Partly's infrastructure, while building the team that takes it to scale. You'll be close to both the customer and the product, turning real use cases into partnerships that put Partly's AI Parts Infrastructure to work at scale.
Responsibilities
- Own Partly's US expansion end-to-end — proposition, team, and commercial outcomes
- Bring Partly's AI Parts Infrastructure to the largest insurers, OEMs, suppliers and repair networks in the US
- Work directly with enterprise customers to understand their use cases and help them build on Interpreter
- Identify, develop and close high-value partnerships across the automotive parts and repair ecosystem
- Represent Partly at a senior level with insurers, OEMs, suppliers, and repair networks
- Build and lead a team of Business Development Managers and Solutions specialists to sell in Partly's infrastructure across the US
Requirements
- Comfortable operating with significant autonomy and limited established process
- Founder/operator mentality — you've built something from zero before, not just scaled an existing motion
- People leadership — has hired and grown high-performing commercial teams
- Credibility across insurers, MSOs, OEM/dealer, and repair segments
- Ability to move fluidly between selling, shaping product requirements, and running the work like a project
- Prior experience building a market or category from scratch
Nice-to-have experience
- Experience within a high-tech, infrastructure-first company with a fast-evolving product set and business model
- Exposure to category creation or market education in emerging or complex industries
- Familiarity with automotive parts, collision repair, or insurance/claims
Please note: if you don't have all the skills or experience listed above but believe you could be outstanding in this role, please still consider applying. Many people count themselves out. We'd love the chance to learn more about you and why you're exceptional.
