About the role
Oversees procurement for social media listening and analytics tools and uses these tools to routinely report on social media performance metrics, using complex data to drive decisions and forecast trends.
Responsibilities
- Maintains editorial calendar for key social media initiatives across UH and the UH System, ensuring appropriate infrastructure for scheduling, content creation, and campaign management and measurement are in place and evolving to meet the changing digital environment.
- Monitors social media channels and implements processes for social listening to identify potential negative or crisis situations, apply conflict resolution principles to mitigate issues and report to the university's management, ensuring timely and sensitive responses to protect the University's reputation.
- Communicates with senior leadership on matters involving social media and audience sentiment on specific issues of concern.
- Addresses customer service inquiries through direct messages on social media channels, ensuring that student success issues are escalated for resolution.
Requirements
- Thorough understanding of both theoretical and practical aspects of an analytical, technical or professional discipline; or the basic knowledge of more than one professional discipline.
- Minimum of five (5) years of directly job-related experience.
Qualifications
- Requires a formal, directly job-related 4 year degree from a college or university or an equivalent in-depth specialized training program that is directly related to the type of work being performed.
