About the role
The Director of Treasury will lead and scale our global treasury function, owning the strategy, operations, and compliance necessary for a high-growth company at the intersection of finance and crypto. This is a hands-on leadership role that spans traditional treasury as well as digital asset-specific operations (e.g., on-chain liquidity, token flows, staking economics, wallet infrastructure). The ideal candidate has experience operating in a public or pre-IPO-stage environment, understands crypto treasury mechanics, and can build scalable processes that balance innovation with risk management.
Responsibilities
- Own the global cash and token liquidity strategy, including fiat and digital asset holdings across custodians, wallets, and banking relationships
- Design and implement short- and long-term liquidity forecasting models
- Design and execute digital asset hedging strategies
- Establish treasury controls and governance over:
- Wallet operations and private key security (in collaboration with InfoSec)
- Staking, yield-generating protocols, or custody solutions
- Help with analyzing and reporting on net interest income/revenue generation from both stablecoin reserves and corporate investments
- Develop and refine treasury performance reporting, models (forecasting, stress testing, etc.), and analytical tools
- Optimize working capital across fiat and crypto channels
- Oversee banking, custody, and stablecoin counterparty relationships
- Build and maintain treasury policies, controls, and reporting frameworks
- Manage weekly and monthly reporting of global cash and crypto positioning and other relevant treasury KPIs
- Lead selection and implementation of treasury management systems (TMS), wallet ops platforms, and investment platforms
- Work closely with finance, legal, and IT to ensure cohesive treasury operations and controls
Requirements
- 10+ years in treasury
- 3+ years in public company or IPO-stage environment
- Experience with crypto or fintech is strongly preferred
- Demonstrated ownership of treasury ops + strategy across multi-entity, multi-jurisdictional environments
- Understanding of on-chain digital asset movements, staking, custody, and multi-sig/threshold wallet security
- Familiar with crypto tax tooling, digital asset tracking, and treasury accounting integrations
- Strategic thinker with the ability to execute and build from scratch
- Excellent communicator—can translate complex tax/crypto topics for non-specialist stakeholders
- Detail-oriented but agile in fast-changing environments
- Comfortable working cross-functionally across finance, legal, operations, HR, and compliance
Pay
The range below may vary if based outside the New York tri-state area (New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut). Base salaries are determined during our interview process, during which we assess the candidate's experience, skills, and capabilities against internal peers and the scope and responsibilities of the position.
$225,000 - $260,000 USD
