Director of Finance

Our client is a medium, stable nonprofit who is looking for a strong finance leader.

• High-impact leadership role with direct exposure to the COO, executive leadership, and Board
• Opportunity to own both finance and broader nonprofit operations
• Lean, collaborative team with a strong Senior Accountant already in place
• Broad responsibility across accounting, budgeting, forecasting, grants, audit, compliance, payroll, benefits, technology, insurance, and risk management
• Opportunity to help strengthen processes and infrastructure as the organization continues to scale

Responsibilities

• Lead the organization’s finance and accounting function, including budgeting, forecasting, cash management, financial reporting, internal controls, grant accounting, restricted funds, audit, Form 990, and regulatory compliance
• Oversee broader nonprofit operations, including payroll, benefits administration, technology, insurance, legal and regulatory compliance, vendor management, and organizational policies

Requirements

• 10+ years of progressive finance and accounting experience with strong nonprofit exposure
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related field required – advanced degree a plus (MBA or Master’s in accounting)
• CPA is a plus

Pay

Salary range $90K to $95K base
