Director of Transportation

About the role

This position is responsible for all aspects of transportation with district-owned buses and reports directly to the Superintendent.

Responsibilities

• Post bus routes each year
• Build the annual transportation budget for the district
• Maintain legal paperwork required for state reporting (rosters, physicals, etc.)
• Communicate with parents as necessary
• Maintain open communication with building-level administrators
• File all transportation-related forms (trip sheets, logs, etc.)
• Set up appropriate professional development for drivers and meetings as necessary
• Schedule all field trips, recreation trips, evacuations at schools, bus routes, sports trips, and summer bus runs
• Other duties as assigned by the Superintendent or Schools Designee
