Director of Transportation

About the role

The Director of Transportation is responsible for overseeing all aspects of Beeville ISD's transportation services, including planning, scheduling, and maintaining safe and efficient routes for students and staff.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive transportation plans that ensure student and staff safety and punctuality.
• Oversee the maintenance and repair of school buses to ensure they meet all safety standards.
• Manage the transportation budget and allocate resources effectively.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operations and communication.
• Ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations regarding transportation.

Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree in transportation management, education, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in transportation management or a related field.
• Knowledge of state and federal transportation regulations.
• Strong leadership and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Qualifications

• Experience managing large transportation fleets.
• Background in public education or related field preferred.
• Valid Texas driver’s license.

Pay

The salary range for this position is $72,546.00 to $87,406.00 per year.

Schedule

The Director of Transportation works a standard Monday through Friday schedule.
