About the role
The Director, Total Rewards is a strategic and hands-on leader responsible for designing, delivering, and continuously evolving Enverus's global compensation programs and international benefits strategies. Reporting directly to the SVP of Human Resources, this role serves as the company's primary subject-matter expert on pay philosophy, equity program administration, executive compensation support, and benefits harmonization across all international geographies.
Responsibilities
Own and evolve the global compensation philosophy, ensuring alignment with Enverus' total rewards strategy, business objectives, and talent market positioning.
Lead the annual compensation planning cycle, including merit, bonus, and comp change processes for all employees.
Design and maintain salary structures, job architecture, and career leveling frameworks across all functions and geographies.
Conduct regular benchmarking using Radford/Aon and other relevant surveys to ensure market competitiveness for technical, commercial, and corporate roles.
Leveraging AI, serve as a key advisor to HRBPs, Talent Acquisition, and business leaders on offer construction, internal equity, and compensation-related decisions.
Partner closely with the HRBP team to develop, maintain, and evolve job architecture frameworks, including job families, levels, and career pathing, ensuring alignment with business structure and compensation programs.
Support the SVP of HR in preparing compensation materials for the Board's Compensation Committee, including executive pay benchmarking and program design recommendations.
Oversee benefit programs across all international locations, including the UK, Canada, Australia, and other geographies, ensuring statutory compliance and competitive positioning.
Lead the design, renewal, and vendor management of international health, risk, retirement, and supplemental benefit programs.
Partner with in-country HR leads, brokers, and legal counsel to navigate country-specific regulations, mandatory benefits, and cultural norms.
Drive harmonization efforts across geographies while preserving the flexibility needed to meet local requirements.
Manage international benefits budget planning, vendor performance scorecards, and renewal negotiations.
Provide strategic oversight of US health, welfare, and retirement programs (medical, dental, vision, 401(k), HSA/FSA, EAP, etc.), working closely with the Benefits Specialist team on day-to-day administration.
Ensure annual open enrollment is executed efficiently and that employee communications are clear, timely, and engaging.
Monitor US regulatory landscape (ACA, ERISA, COBRA, etc.) and ensure ongoing compliance.
Build and maintain compensation and benefits dashboards that provide real-time insight for HR leadership and Finance.
Lead pay equity analyses on a regular cadence, partnering with HR and Legal to identify and remediate gaps.
Support global mobility and expatriate assignment compensation structuring, in partnership with Tax and Legal.
Ensure compliance with all applicable compensation reporting requirements (gender pay gap reporting, EEO-1, etc.) across jurisdictions.
Lead the development and execution of compensation and benefits strategies that align with Enverus' growth trajectory as a global SaaS and data company.
Lead and develop a small team of Compensation Analysts and/or Benefits Specialists, fostering a culture of rigor, curiosity, and continuous improvement.
Serve as an internal thought leader on emerging trends in compensation, benefits, and employee value proposition.
Partner with M&A team to support benefit transition and pointed compensation reviews.
Qualifications
8+ years of progressive experience in compensation and/or total rewards, with at least 2 years in a leadership or management role.
Demonstrated expertise in broad-based compensation design, job architecture, and salary structure development.
Hands-on experience administering international benefits programs across multiple countries and regulatory environments.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable recommendations.
Proficiency with HRIS platforms (Workday strongly preferred) and compensation management tools.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills; comfortable presenting to senior executives and Board-level audiences.
Demonstrated ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, growth-stage or PE-backed technology company.
Prior experience in a SaaS, technology, or energy sector company.
Familiarity with Mercer, Radford/Aon, or McLagan compensation survey participation and analysis.
Experience supporting M&A due diligence and integration from a Total Rewards perspective.

Schedule
