Jack & Jill · United States · Today
RemoteRemoteEngineering$80k–$100k/yrFull-time
About the role
You will fix the bridge between sales and delivery by owning technical scoping, architecture, and quality assurance. As a hands-on leader, you'll join pre-sale calls to define feasibility, run technical discovery with mid-market clients, and enforce QA gates to ensure every build meets rigorous acceptance criteria before client delivery.
Why this role is remarkable
- True Architectural Authority: You own the full technical delivery loop and have the power to resize or decline work that cannot be delivered as sold.
- High-Impact Bootstrapped Agency: Join a lean, $2.3M revenue team building cutting-edge voice AI and automation for a massive $5M-$100M home services market.
- No Bureaucracy: Work directly with the Founder/CIO to build the delivery function from the ground up without corporate filler or management bloat.
Responsibilities
- Produce feasibility memos for $25k+ deals, identifying client stack inventory, open unknowns, and delivery hour ranges with high-confidence bands.
- Lead technical discovery sessions with client operations teams to create signed scoping documents featuring explicit out-of-scope lists and acceptance criteria.
- Own the data warehouse and security layer while reviewing offshore developer commits weekly to ensure architectural integrity across all active engagements.
Qualifications
- Proven background in agency, consulting, or professional services delivery with deep experience writing client-signed scoping documents and technical specifications.
- Hands-on technical depth in API integrations (QuickBooks, NetSuite, HubSpot) and data engineering using Postgres, warehousing, and orchestration tools like n8n.
- The backbone to tell a client "no" on feasibility and the communication skills to navigate working sessions with non-technical business owners.
First 90 days
In your first 90 days, you will establish the four core artifacts of our delivery engine: a standardized feasibility memo, a rigorous scoping document, an enforced QA gate process, and a formal change request reconciliation workflow.
