About the role
The Director of Tax & Treasury will lead Kikoff's global corporate tax and treasury efforts. Key responsibilities include:
- Serving as a key advisor to the CFO and Corporate Controller
- Overseeing federal, state and international tax reporting and compliance
- Providing tax guidance, advice and risk management support for Kikoff’s growth strategy
- Managing tax-related requirements for business license applications
- Preparing or reviewing and concluding on analysis of complex issues
- Serving as primary liaison with the IRS and state tax authorities during audits
- Partnering with accounting team on cash management
- Responsible for reviewing and signing off on all quarterly and annual tax accounting
- Presenting quarterly updates on tax and treasury compliance, reporting and strategic planning to the Audit Committee
- Implementing and overseeing all internal SOX controls for corporate taxes and treasury management
- Managing the company’s corporate cash management banking partners
- Partnering with internal and external teams on M&A activity
- Own indirect tax compliance (sales tax)
Responsibilities
The Director of Tax & Treasury will:
- Work closely with external tax advisors
- Provide tax guidance, advice and risk management support for Kikoff’s growth strategy
- Manage tax-related requirements for business license applications
- Prepare or review and conclude on analysis of complex issues
- Serve as primary liaison with the IRS and state tax authorities during audits
- Partner with accounting team on cash management
- Facilitate cash transfers between customers, entities, banks and partners
- Responsible for reviewing and signing off on all quarterly and annual tax accounting
- Present quarterly updates on tax and treasury compliance, reporting and strategic planning to the Audit Committee
- Implement and oversee all internal SOX controls for corporate taxes and treasury management
- Manage the company’s corporate cash management banking partners
- Partner with internal and external teams on M&A activity
- Own indirect tax compliance (sales tax)
Requirements
- 12+ years of experience in global corporate tax, including previous Big 4 Tax and industry experience
- A degree in accounting or finance; CPA or equivalent license expected
- In-depth knowledge of US GAAP tax accounting rules and pronouncements
- Strong and effective communications skills, including the ability to synthesize complex tax issues and communicate them clearly and succinctly to all levels
- Energetic team player and relationship builder who inspires trust and confidence
Qualifications
- Industry experience at a late-stage or public Fintech, or e-commerce / marketplace / internet company(ies) with high transaction volumes preferred

Pay
Base Range: $255,000 - $270,000 USD
Schedule
The position is located in our San Francisco office and requires 3 days per week in-office presence.
