Director of Surgical Services
Job Summary
As a department administrator, you will establish and enforce policies, procedures, standards, and objectives. You will direct and supervise staff and workflow. You will have 24-hour accountability for the ongoing effective operation of the assigned Nursing department, supporting the hospital's mission, vision, goals, and objectives.
You will be responsible for the continuous assessment, improvement, coordination, and integration of department services and standards of care into the hospital's primary function. You will also approve timekeeping, employee evaluations, meet applicable regulatory standards, approve supply orders, and participate in departmental strategic planning.

Education, License/Certifications, and Experience
The Director of Surgical Services full-time days candidate must have the following:
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, Business Administration, Management, or related field, or equivalent minimum experience requirements.
- Five years experience in nursing management in a hospital setting with three years supervisory experience required.
- Current Arizona Registered Nurse License.
- Training in wound care and hyperbaric therapy from a nationally recognized provider (for Wound Care).
- WOCN certification (for Wound Care).
