Director of Surgical Services
About the role
The Director of Nursing (DON) at Saint Mary’s Health Network is responsible for organizing and administering areas of clinical and patient care services to achieve facility objectives established by hospital administration. This position develops and implements hospital plans for providing nursing care, treatment, and clinical services to patients requiring such care.
Responsibilities
- Develops and implements hospital plans for providing nursing care, treatment, and clinical services to patients requiring such care.
- Participates with the management, medical staff, and clinical leaders in the facility's decision-making structures and processes.
- Implements an effective, ongoing program to measure, assess, and improve the quality of nursing care, treatment, and services delivered to patients.
Requirements
- Current and valid state license as a Registered Nurse.
- Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
- Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)-(AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
- Minimum of 5 years Acute Care experience.
- Minimum of 2 years previous administrative experience preferred.
- Bachelor's of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
