Director of Surgical Services
About the Role
Participates in planning, policy development, and priority setting for surgical services and other assigned clinical areas. Ensures policies align with the overall goals of the health system and compliance with quality and safety standards. Maintains a competent workforce adhering to regulatory guidelines (financial, employment, AHCA/JCAHO) and established national standards of care. Collaborates with directors, administrators, medical staff, and other departments to provide and maintain optimal, cost-effective services. Promotes evidence-based clinical care that exemplifies the pursuit of clinical excellence.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or related field (required)
- Master’s degree in Nursing or related field (preferred)
- Registered Nurse (RN) license (required)
- Certified Operating Room Nurse (CNOR) certification (preferred)
- Management experience (required)
