Job Description
Within our Fencing, Lawn & Garden group, the Director of Supply Chain and Purchasing is a strategic leadership role responsible for the end-to-end management of the supply chain and purchasing division. This position supervises all areas of procurement, planning, logistics, warehousing, and distribution, ensuring the efficient and cost-effective flow of materials and products.
- Develop and execute comprehensive supply chain strategies aligned with the company's overall business goals.
- Identify and implement best practices to improve supply chain efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance customer satisfaction.
- Lead and mentor a team of supply chain professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration.
- Monitor industry trends and emerging technologies to identify opportunities for innovation and competitive advantage.
Qualifications
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present data in an organized manner.
- Delivers on commitments, has strong follow-up skills, and shows consistency between words and actions.
- Highly organized, results-driven, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Analytical skills to understand the correlation among sales history, market demand, and forecast, and then make sound procurement decisions.
- Self-motivated team player
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Software: Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Education/Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 8+ years of progressive experience in supply chain management, with a proven track record of success in leadership roles.
- Strong knowledge of supply chain principles, practices, and technologies.
- Experience in procurement, planning, logistics, and distribution.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Proficiency in SAP is a plus.

Pay
The posted salary range for this position is $140,000 to $150,000 annually, including bonus. Final compensation will be determined based on the candidate’s skills, experience, and qualifications.
