About the Role
Tencent Games is looking for a senior partnerships leader to own and deepen our relationships with the most important companies in Western gaming — first-party platforms, major publishers, and leading developers. This is a relationship-first role for someone who can open doors at the executive level, turn conversations into long-term strategic partnerships, and represent Tencent credibly with the industry's most senior decision-makers.
Responsibilities
- Own senior-level relationships with key platform and publisher partners, serving as a trusted point of contact from working teams up to the C-suite
- Identify, shape, and drive strategic partnership opportunities end-to-end — from first conversation through structuring, alignment, and execution
- Partner closely with business unit leadership and cross-functional teams (studios, publishing, investment, legal) to land and deliver on partnership commitments
- Bring sharp, timely market and competitive intelligence back into the organization to inform strategy and deal priorities
- Represent Tencent Games at major industry events, conferences, and executive forums
Requirements
- Based in North America with 10+ years in gaming, or in consulting/banking with deep gaming sector exposure
- An existing network across platforms and publishers — established C-suite and senior executive relationships are a strong plus
- A natural relationship builder who thrives on opening new doors: comfortable cold-calling a studio founder on Monday and presenting to a platform executive on Friday
- Equally strong as a team player and an independent operator — you don't wait to be handed opportunities
- Outstanding communication, analytical, and interpersonal skills; comfortable with ambiguity and matrixed organizations
- Genuine passion for games and the business behind them
Location
California (Los Angeles, Palo Alto), New York (New York), Washington (Bellevue)
