Director of Social Services Nursing Home Experience Required

Job Summary

Willow Terrace Nursing and Rehabilitation Center is seeking a Director of Social Services to oversee the social services department and ensure residents receive exceptional support and care.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the social services department, ensuring high-quality care and support to residents
• Develop, implement, and evaluate social services programs tailored to each resident’s needs
• Collaborate with other departments to provide a multidisciplinary approach to care
• Recruit, train, and supervise social workers, activities staff, and volunteers
• Develop and maintain relationships with community organizations and vendors
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and standards
• Provide emotional support, counseling, and crisis intervention as needed
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and committee meetings

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, or related field (Master's degree preferred)
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Social Worker in a nursing home
• Strong understanding of social services principles, practices, and regulations
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills
• Effective in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities
• Strong problem-solving and crisis management skills
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
