Director of Social Services
Job Summary
The Director of Social Services position at NHC Springfield is seeking a qualified individual with a degree in Social Work, Sociology, or Psychology from an accredited university. The ideal candidate should have experience in long-term care and skilled nursing facilities, along with knowledge of medical case management processes, funding resources, and clinical skills.
Responsibilities
- Implementing a comprehensive social services program that supports patients and families in the center.
- Demonstrating teamwork characteristics by fostering a positive team approach.
- Ensuring the quality of social services provided by the center.
- Understanding and adhering to the center's policies and interpreting them to relevant parties.
- Providing guidance to the department in achieving the center's goals and objectives.
Requirements
- A 4-year degree.
- Experience in long-term care and skilled nursing facilities.
- Knowledge of medical case management processes, funding resources, and clinical skills.
- Ability to work cooperatively with other professionals and communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Experience in long-term care is preferred.
