Director of Social Services

About the role

The Director of Social Services at Eventide Lincoln in Lincoln, NE is responsible for coordinating admissions for the care center, managing operations in compliance with state and federal regulations, and assisting in maintaining optimal occupancy levels.

Responsibilities

• Manages overall daily operations of the Social Services and Admissions departments in accordance with state and federal regulations.
• Captures, implements, and evaluates the entire admission process.
• Completes all necessary documentation according to federal, state, and local rules and regulations.
• Ensures all screening processes for the campus' respective state are completed for admissions to the care center.
• Participates in marketing and provides detailed information on Eventide's continuum of care to prospective clients and families.
• Provides information, counseling, referrals, orientation, and education for staff, residents, families, and the community.
• Acts as a facility resource to provide intervention with difficult resident and family issues.
• Coordinates and facilitates resident care conferences including initial, quarterly, significant changes, and at the point of discharge.
• Ensures Social Services charting and documentation is completed according to federal, state, local, and facility policies and procedures.
• Affords guidance and supervision to facility social workers including evaluation process.
• Continually updates knowledge base and skills by attending in-services, continuing education programs, and staff meetings.
• Serves on committees as requested.
• In conjunction with the home office, updates Social Services policies and procedures as needed.
• Assesses community placement needs and works with clinical leadership as needed to choose potential applicants for care center admission.

Requirements

• Holds a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work from an accredited college or university.
• Has previous healthcare social work experience, preferably in long-term care.
• Must hold a current Licensed Social Worker license in the state of NE.
• Must be in good standing in all states in which licensure is or was held.

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize responsibilities effectively.
• Experience with long-term care and familiarity with relevant regulations.
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.

• Knowledge of long-term care regulations and standards.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Pay

The salary range for this position is $50,000 - $60,000 annually, commensurate with experience.

Schedule

The Director of Social Services works full-time, 40 hours per week.
