Director of Social & Organic Marketing

Eve · San Mateo, CA · Today
Marketing$220k–$250k/yrFull-time

Eve is redefining legal technology for plaintiff law firms, building AI that works across every stage of a case—from intake through resolution. The next generation of great plaintiff firms will be AI-Native, and Eve is how they get there. Trusted by over 1000+ law firms, backed by $160M from top investors (Spark Capital, Andreessen Horowitz, Menlo Ventures, Lightspeed), and built by a world-class team from Scale, Meta, Airbnb, Cruise, Square, Rubrik, and Lyft. Eve collaborates directly with OpenAI and Anthropic to pioneer AI workflows tailored for legal work, growing 2X revenue quarter over quarter.

About the role

We’re hiring our first Director of Social Media to establish Eve’s presence in the world, document our story, and build the team that scales the motion. This is not a content calendar role—Eve’s social strategy starts in the physical world. You’ll create and capture real-world activations (e.g., legal access workshops, courthouse pop-ups) and turn them into compelling content that shapes Eve’s brand for two key audiences: plaintiff attorneys (our customers) and top-tier talent (our future team).

You’ll own organic strategy, channel management, and production across Instagram, LinkedIn, Reddit, X, YouTube, and emerging platforms. Responsibilities include building our creator/influencer program, launching an employee evangelism initiative, and developing the executive presence of our leadership (CEO, CPO, CRO, CMO). Starting as a team of one with a real budget, you’ll be hands-on—planning campaigns, producing content, and hiring a team as we grow.

Responsibilities

  • Own organic social strategy, management, and production across all of Eve's channels (Instagram, LinkedIn, Reddit, X, YouTube, and emerging platforms), from quarterly planning to daily execution.
  • Concept, produce, and document real-world campaigns—activations, stunts, field interviews, press moments, and documentary shoots—turning them into assets that travel across platforms.
  • Produce content yourself: write posts, direct/shoot on location, edit short-form video, and ship at the pace social demands while raising the bar on craft.
  • Build Eve’s creator and influencer program from scratch, identifying voices in plaintiff law, structuring partnerships, and maintaining our standards.
  • Launch and run Eve’s employee evangelism program, equipping the team with tools and templates to become a distribution engine.
  • Develop the executive presence of Eve’s leaders (CEO, CPO, CRO, CMO) through ghostwriting, format design, and cadence management.
  • Shape Eve’s brand for two audiences: plaintiff attorneys (customers) and potential hires (future team), ensuring social reinforces our story everywhere it appears.
  • Manage the budget for production, creators, and paid amplification, making strategic bets and measuring impact.
  • Hire and lead a social team over time, starting as a team of one and scaling the function with a dedicated budget.
  • Own performance metrics, distinguishing between reach and resonance, and making data-informed decisions about what works.
  • Partner with content, brand, and recruiting teams to ensure social aligns with broader storytelling, from feeds to the careers page.
  • Stay ahead of platform trends, formats, and cultural shifts, adapting quickly to new opportunities.

Requirements

  • 10+ years in social media, content, or brand, with experience owning strategy and production for a recognizable brand.
  • A portfolio of social work demonstrating growth, innovation, and standout posts (e.g., accounts you grew, formats you invented, viral content).
  • Hands-on expertise as a maker: you personally write, shoot, and edit short-form content, shipping daily.
  • Deep native fluency across Instagram, LinkedIn, Reddit, and X, with an intuitive understanding of what works on each platform.
  • Proven ability to grow an executive’s or founder’s social presence, including ghostwriting and format development.
  • Experience building or running an employee advocacy/evangelism program.
  • Instinct for creating content that stops scrolls, evokes emotion, and drives shares—prioritizing resonance over reach.
  • Excellent writing skills and refined taste; our audience (attorneys and top-tier operators) notices details.
  • Comfort building from zero and leading a team through growth.

Nice to have

  • Experience growing a brand’s social presence from small to widely recognized.
  • Background in employer branding or recruiting-driven social media.
  • Experience marketing to attorneys, professional services buyers, or other high-expertise audiences.
  • A track record on Reddit, with deep understanding of the community and its rules.
  • Experience building a social/content team, not just joining one.
  • History of thriving in hypergrowth environments.

Pay

US Base Salary Range: $220,000 – $250,000 USD. Final compensation will be determined based on experience, skills, interview performance, and role scope.

Benefits

  • Competitive salary and equity.
  • 401(k) program with employer matching.
  • Health, dental, vision, and life insurance.
  • Short-term and long-term disability coverage.
  • Commuter benefits (in-office employees only).
  • Autonomous work environment with workplace setup reimbursement and telecomm stipend.
  • Flexible Time Off (FTO) + holidays.
  • Quarterly team gatherings.
  • In-office perks (in-office employees only).
