About the Role
This position focuses on driving market penetration for CDK Layers Applications and Services by targeting competitive prospects and executing strategic sales processes. The role requires extensive travel, independent and team-based work, and a strong ability to manage and grow a sales pipeline.
Responsibilities
- Utilize Sales Automation tools to define and execute market penetration strategies.
- Identify and target competitive prospects, planning and executing strategies to increase market share.
- Systematically engage in sales processes within identified accounts to achieve successful closures.
- Meet or exceed the annual assigned QC Sales Plan.
- Leverage all available resources, with a focus on including Channel partners.
- Manage a robust pipeline using salesforce.com and sales automation tools, providing accurate weekly forecasting to the Director of Sales.
- Understand competition and proactively attack their customer base.
- Communicate daily with channel partners and the Director of Sales, participating in all team meetings and conference calls.
- Hire, train, and manage new employees, organizing workflow and setting performance goals.
- Monitor employee productivity, provide constructive feedback, and ensure adherence to legal and company policies.
- Role model company values and leadership expectations.
- Complete all mandatory compliance tasks and acknowledgments.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- Automotive retail experience, either within a dealership or selling solutions to dealerships.
- Minimum 6-8 years of related experience leading a quota-exceeding team.
- Demonstrated track record of success in a solutions selling environment.
- Excellent planning, project management, analytical, and facilitation skills.
- Proven ability to lead and work within a multi-functional team, delivering measurable results.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, including effective presentations to senior-level audiences.
- Ability to make strategic recommendations to senior management regarding sales direction.
- Superior analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a high-performance environment.
- Knowledge of automotive technology and digital solutions preferred.
- Consistently meet or exceed annual quota (100% or more every year).
- Valid Driver’s License and travel documents (if applicable).
- 75% travel in the field, including overnight travel.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
