Director of Sales, Pacific Northwest - Remote (PST)
About the role
The Pacific Northwest Sales Leader is responsible for leading sales efforts for Washington, Oregon, and Idaho within the Mountain West Market. This role provides local, field-level sales leadership to help producers build pipeline, move opportunities forward, strengthen accountability, and execute market growth plans.
Responsibilities
- Lead sales strategy and execution for Washington, Oregon, and Idaho within the Mountain West Market.
- Partner with regional sales and market leaders to set annual sales goals, growth priorities, and producer-level expectations.
- Hold producers accountable to business plans, sales activity, CRM discipline, pipeline progression, and revenue goals.
- Coach producers through prospecting strategy, qualification, discovery, proposal development, negotiation, and closing.
- Create a regular sales cadence for pipeline reviews, opportunity strategy, activity follow-up, and performance accountability.
- Provide field support by attending prospect and client meetings, particularly with newer producers or high-value opportunities.
- Evaluate candidate fit with a focus on proven sales background, local market knowledge, industry experience, and ability to succeed in a consultative sales environment.
- Collaborate with marketing and sales enablement teams to identify market opportunities, centers of influence, events, verticals, and thought leadership opportunities.
- Analyze sales metrics, pipeline health, win/loss themes, market trends, and producer activity to identify gaps and adjust strategy.
- Support onboarding and early success of new producers by connecting them with mentors, resources, internal partners, and clear expectations.
- Promote collaboration across employee benefits, property and casualty, HRC, and other OneDigital solutions where appropriate.
- Reinforce a culture of accountability, client focus, teamwork, and disciplined growth.
Requirements
- Strong sales leadership experience with the ability to coach, influence, and hold others accountable in both direct and indirect reporting relationships.
- Proven ability to support producers in active sales situations, including prospect meetings, executive conversations, and deal strategy.
- Strong understanding of the Pacific Northwest business landscape, with preference for experience in Washington, Oregon, and/or Idaho.
- Ability to build trust quickly with producers, market leaders, service teams, and regional stakeholders.
- Excellent verbal, written, and facilitation skills, with the ability to communicate priorities clearly and directly.
- Strong business acumen and ability to connect sales strategy to revenue, retention, client experience, and market growth outcomes.
- Comfort with sales data, CRM reporting, pipeline analytics, and performance trends.
- Ability to balance strategic market growth with hands-on field coaching and practical execution support.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, geographically dispersed environment with changing priorities.
- Strong external networking mindset and ability to develop centers of influence, referral sources, and local market relationships.
- Collaborative leadership style with a high degree of ownership, follow-through, and sound judgment.
Qualifications, Skills And Requirements
- 7+ years of proven sales leadership experience preferred; 5+ years required.
- 5+ years of sales experience in employee benefits, insurance, brokerage, business services, or a related field preferred.
- Experience coaching producers, managing pipeline, and supporting complex B2B sales cycles strongly preferred.
- Experience operating across multiple states or geographically dispersed teams preferred.
- Bachelor degree preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products and CRM tools required.
- Other insurance license preferred within 6 months of hire, if applicable based on business need and role requirements.
- Ability to travel across Washington, Oregon, and Idaho as needed to support producers, sales meetings, client opportunities, and market events.

Your base pay is dependent upon your skills, education, qualifications, professional experience, and location. In addition to base pay, some roles are eligible for variable compensation, commission, and/or annual bonus based on your individual performance and/or the company’s performance.

Pay
The typical base pay range for this role is $200,000 - $300,000 per year.
