About the Role

Oversee the internal and external marketing efforts of the community to meet or exceed the budgeted census while adhering to the Harmony Senior Services Way. Ensure building readiness, including daily tour route readiness, model room development, and staff training on first impressions, telephone etiquette, and inquiry handling.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a quarterly marketing plan in compliance with corporate standards.
  • Complete all marketing reports in a timely manner and lead internal marketing meetings.
  • Manage all inquiries personally when in the building and ensure bench strength for inquiries and tours in your absence.
  • Provide customer service training during new-hire orientation and at least annually to all staff.
  • Promote sales enhancements and respond to feedback from the Mystery Shopping Program.
  • Use the lead tracking system to document all prospect contacts and respond to inquiries within one business day.
  • Identify needs, barriers, and next steps for each inquiry and generate required marketing activity reports.
  • Conduct external marketing calls according to the corporate schedule and follow up on all calls.
  • Host community events, establish senior care support groups, and promote the community as a meeting space.
  • Build community relationships through weekly networking group participation and serve as an educational spokesperson on aging and health issues.
  • Develop resident referrals through incentives and housewarming parties.
  • Review and collect admissions paperwork, ensuring completeness and distribution to appropriate departments.
  • Manage the move-in process, ensuring all department heads meet new residents within 48 hours of arrival.
  • Ensure apartment readiness for move-in using the room readiness checklist.
  • Establish relationships with local skilled nursing facilities for smooth discharge planning.
  • Respond to resident and family concerns promptly and participate in the resident and family survey process.
  • Develop family events in collaboration with the marketing team and maintain an active Respite Program.
  • Visit residents during hospital stays and serve as the community spokesperson for local media.
  • Develop positive relationships with local media to promote community coverage.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED; Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience.
  • Three years’ experience as a marketing director in senior care.
  • Demonstrated ability to build a census and analyze data to develop and implement marketing plans.
  • Strong organizational skills, ability to multi-task, and complete projects on time.
  • Ability to establish relationships with prospective clients, families, associates, and community resource groups.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills and proficiency in computer programs.
  • Flexible work schedule based on business needs, including evenings and weekends.
  • Ability to lift, carry, and push up to 25 lbs.
