General Purpose

Develops and executes a comprehensive, data-driven sales strategy that maximizes total facility revenue, optimizes tee sheet utilization, and delivers a best-in-class guest experience consistent with our Member for a Day mission.

Essential Duties

  • Directs and manages all group, tournament, leisure, and transient sales activities with a focus on maximizing total revenue, rate integrity, and profitability.

  • Proactively call on targets/prospects to include but not limited to resort sales contacts, local corporate, local charity contacts, events at other non-Troon locales, wholesale partners and other identified targets.

  • DMC Strategy – invite to club for meetings, tours, develop relationships for referrals

  • Wholesale Strategy - develop and maintain strong relationships (to include contract management) with wholesalers, tour operators, key referral sources with a goal to capture revenue delivery from each respective channel.

  • Monthly check in calls. Invite to property for lunch and learns, or afternoon nines, etc

  • Resort Strategy – develop and maintain relationships with minimum of 5 regional hotels/resorts. Key targets: Dir of Sales Marketing + Sales managers + Convention Services (for group referrals). Concierge for leisure referrals. Maintain close working relationships (to ensure revenue generation + seamless guest experiences with nearby resort partners).

  • Proactively generates new business through outbound sales efforts, relationship development, and networking within corporate, resort, and luxury travel segments.

  • Setting weekly goal for 50-100 outbound emails/calls

  • Develops and implements an annual sales and marketing plan, including monthly pacing strategies, segment mix optimization, and demand-based pricing initiatives.

  • Marketing oversight of key club communication tools

  • Email Marketing: Execution of email marketing campaigns using facility email marketing platforms (i.e. GolfNow Manage, etc.). Expectation min 1x per month (multi message club newsletter in first week of month) + additional based upon business/messaging.

  • Oversight of implementation of triggered campaigns using email marketing automation (email thank you, defector campaigns etc)

  • Website: Update and maintain content on website using appropriate content management system to ensure website presentation is on brand with the facility, and client expectations. Refining content seasonally to align with campaign goals.

  • Social: Execution of organic social media posting and campaigns for club Social Handles. Working collaboratively with other associates as appropriate/applicable for deployment of authentic content and support of facility centric posting with a goal of 3x per week per channel.

  • Actively manages the tee sheet in partnership with Golf Operations to ensure optimal utilization, advanced booking pace, and yield management.

  • Analyzes competitive set, market trends, and assists Head Golf Professional in demand patterns to develop dynamic pricing strategies and group ceilings.

  • Maintains and grows key accounts, ensuring high levels of client retention, repeat business, and exceptional service delivery.

  • Executes Group Golf Contracts from initiation to completion

  • Leads all sales presentations, site tours, and client engagements with a focus on converting high-value opportunities.

  • Oversees CRM system management, ensuring accurate pipeline tracking, forecasting, and reporting of all sales activity.

  • Pairs cross-functionally with Golf Operations, Food & Beverage, and Merchandising teams to maximize ancillary revenue opportunities.

  • Establishes, implements, and maintains departmental policies and procedures in alignment with company standards and luxury service expectations.

  • Creates and leads ongoing training programs focused on sales effectiveness, service excellence, and product knowledge.

  • Maintains regular and reliable attendance.

Education/Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree (BA); and one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Occasionally reaches with hands and arms.
  • Occasionally lifts up to 25 pounds.

Environment/Noise

  • Occasionally works in outdoor weather conditions.
  • Noise level is moderate.

Job Knowledge, Skill, and Ability Preferences

  • Ability to read and speak English may be required in order to perform the duties of the job (e.g. the associates may be required to communicate with English speaking customers or co-workers, the manuals for the equipment the associates may use are in English).
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and Delphi.
