Overview

As a Director of Sales Development, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing our sales team's performance and driving organizational growth through comprehensive training programs. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and overseeing all aspects of sales training initiatives, ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and deliver training programs for Account Executives, including workshops, on-the-job learning, and frequent field ride-alongs.
  • Partner with leadership across HR, Sales, and Executive teams to align training with company goals.
  • Mentor and coach Account Executives, strengthening sales strategies, customer engagement, and overall performance.
  • Use technology to scale, track, and refine training while traveling extensively to branches nationwide.
  • Build tools, resources, and evaluation methods that support consistent sales growth.

Qualifications

  • Previous sales experience (required).
  • (Preferred) 2+ years of experience in a training role focused on teaching or developing others in a business or educational setting.
  • Knowledge of flooring installation and products required.
  • Strong strategic-thinking skills with the ability to collaborate on best practices.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills, with credibility across all levels.
  • Able to work autonomously in a fast-paced, multitasking environment.
  • Able and willing to travel extensively for training.
  • Strong relationship-building skills and an entrepreneurial, positive mindset.
  • Understanding of effective teaching methodologies and tools and a willingness to stay current with new approaches.
