About the role

Elm Terrace Gardens is a not‑for‑profit Life Plan Community (Continuing Care Retirement Community) in Lansdale, PA, offering independent living apartments, dining services, YMCA membership and a vibrant social environment. The Director of Resident Services leads and enhances the quality of life for residents in the Independent Living program, serving as a primary point of contact for residents and families.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and coordinate all resident services for the Independent Living community.
• Develop and implement programs and activities that promote social engagement, wellness, and overall well‑being.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for residents and their families, addressing concerns and ensuring high levels of satisfaction.
• Collaborate with staff and management to ensure compliance with community policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Lead, train, and supervise resident services staff, fostering a positive and professional team environment.
• Manage budgets related to resident services, including planning and resource allocation.
• Continuously assess and improve service delivery to enhance resident satisfaction and community reputation.
• Act as the Compliance Officer for the community.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in social work, healthcare, gerontology, or a related field.
• Proven experience in senior living, retirement communities, or related healthcare services, with a focus on independent living.
• Compliance Officer training preferred but not required.
