Director of Recruiting, Enrollment Management, and Educational Partnerships
About the role
The Director of Recruiting, Enrollment Management and Educational Partnerships provides strategic leadership for recruitment, enrollment management, and educational partnerships within the Office of Academic Affairs in the NC State College of Engineering.
Responsibilities
- Lead recruitment and enrollment strategy, establishing priorities and initiatives that support enrollment goals and long-term growth.
- Lead recruitment and admissions efforts, partnering with the Office of Admissions on standards, enrollment targets, and recruitment strategies while promoting the college’s academic programs, research, facilities, and student achievements.
- Oversee engineering pathway programs and educational partnerships, including 2+2 Regional, 3+2 dual-degree, community college, and other strategic pathways to NC State engineering degrees.
- Lead and develop direct reports, setting clear priorities and ensuring activities align with university, college, and departmental policies.
- Manage recruitment and partnership budgets, strategically allocating resources to support programs and initiatives while maintaining sound financial practices.
- Champion the College of Engineering’s strengths, maintaining a strong understanding of its academic programs, research, facilities, and faculty and student achievements.
- Partner with the Engineering Foundation to expand scholarship support, cultivating donor relationships, increasing scholarship revenue, and developing effective award processes.
- Oversee incoming undergraduate scholarships, collaborating with university scholarship programs to maximize opportunities for engineering students.
- Partner on recruitment marketing and strategic planning, developing materials and initiatives that advance college and university enrollment goals.
- Support the Office of Academic Affairs and college leadership through relevant committees, initiatives, and other responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements
This position requires a minimum of an advanced degree in a related field with at least three years of experience in recruitment, admissions, enrollment management, external partnership development/management, or higher education program administration; or a bachelor’s degree with 10+ years of equivalent experience may be substituted for the advanced degree on an exceptional basis.
Minimum qualifications include:
- Demonstrated record of commitment to advancing educational opportunities and student access.
- Proven experience with strategic planning and assessment.
- Knowledge of best practices in higher-education recruitment of engineering students.
- Understanding and effective use of Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and similar Google applications in addition to Adobe Acrobat/Fox-it.
Qualifications
Preferred qualifications include:
- An advanced degree in the fields of science, technology, engineering.
- Familiarity with NC State University undergraduate academic programs, processes, systems, and policies.

$95,000 - $110,000
Schedule
Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm; with occasional evenings and weekends
