Director of Quality Assurance & Risk Management

Calvary’s proven treatment programs address the practical, physical, and spiritual aspects of addiction for lasting recovery. Our flagship location in Phoenix offers on-site detoxification and inpatient treatment programs, a partial hospitalization program (PHP), and an intensive outpatient program (IOP). We also have a satellite clinic offering Intensive Outpatient Programs in the West Valley region and Metropolitan Phoenix. About the Role
The Quality Assurance and Risk Management Director has broad responsibility to protect the hospital's assets from loss. This role coordinates loss control efforts, advises management and administration on potential sources of loss, and makes recommendations to minimize or eliminate exposure. The Risk Management Program is designed to comply with guidelines and standards of CARF, other regulatory agencies, and the UHS T.E.R.M. © Program.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate loss control efforts to protect the hospital’s assets from loss.
- Advise management and administration on all potential sources of loss and recommend strategies to minimize or eliminate exposure.
- Ensure compliance with CARF, CMS standards, and other applicable federal and state laws and regulations governing inpatient and outpatient care facilities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in nursing or a related health field (preferred). Master’s Degree preferred.
- Completion of BLS & First Aid within 30 days of employment.
- Completion of Handle With Care within 30 days of employment.
- Valid Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire.
- At least four (4) years of experience in risk management or improving organizational performance within a substance abuse, acute medical, or psychiatric treatment setting.
- Strong knowledge of CARF, CMS standards, and other applicable federal and state regulations.
