Director of Product Operations

For our client, we are seeking a Director of Product Operations to join the team of a leader in the Transportation space. This leader will shape the operating model for product execution and help drive disciplined launches across a complex B2B SaaS environment. The role will partner closely with Product, Sales, Professional Services, and executive leadership to strengthen readiness, alignment, and decision-making. It is well suited for someone who can build scalable systems, manage cross-functional programs, and bring structure to product operations at a high level. Location: Chicago, IL - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available Compensation: $215,000 – $355,000 annually Responsibilities Coordinate efforts across Product, Sales, and Professional Services to ensure launch readiness Lead executive communication and meeting cadence for Product and Design Act as a proxy for the CPO in cross-functional forums, prioritizing escalations Oversee the operating framework for the product roadmap and release readiness Establish formalized programs for key initiatives through to completion Maintain transparent status reporting on programs, risks, and dependencies Create and enforce quality and compliance systems for product management Qualifications 12+ years in product operations, program or portfolio management, or management consulting in complex B2B SaaS environments Experience building teams and systems from the ground up, ideally at a VP level Bachelor's degree is required; advanced degree is a plus Fluency in product and technical language, especially regarding integration and data quality Experience in regulated environments and quality management systems is ideal Benefits Health, dental, and vision coverage based on local market standards Retirement plans tailored to your country of employment Paid time off and other statutory programs Stock options for all employees Bonus or commission eligibility depending on role Our client is an equal opportunity employer.
