About the role

Restek is seeking a bold, experienced product leader to own our Liquid Chromatography and Sample Preparation portfolios from concept to commercial performance. This role requires deep technical expertise and business strategy, with responsibilities spanning vision, strategy, and execution.

Responsibilities

  • Define the LC/SP vision, long-term strategy, and product roadmap, managing the full lifecycle from inception to obsolescence.
  • Drive cross-functional alignment with Sales, Marketing, R&D, Applications, Customer Service, and Operations.
  • Maintain up-to-date price lists and take action to maximize profitability.
  • Manage regular internal reporting on product line health, presenting actionable insights to leadership.
  • Represent Restek at domestic and international conferences and exhibitions.
  • Develop and manage strategic goals, planning, and operating budgets for your assigned area.
  • Own the go-to-market strategy for new products, driving execution through the full product development process.
  • Identify unmet customer needs; develop market requirements with clear financial justification including ROI and margin contribution.
  • Communicate directly with customers to build intimate understanding of decision-maker business issues.
  • Partner with Product Marketing to develop resonating value propositions and positioning for new products.
  • Plan, prepare, and present product launch strategies and plans.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of Product Management professionals with clear expectations and regular feedback.
  • Foster a trusting, inclusive, and high-performance team environment.
  • Support growth and capability building; hold team members accountable and remove barriers to their best work.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a science or business-related field required; Master's in science or MBA preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in product management, sales, marketing, or a combination thereof.
  • 10+ years of global experience in the chromatography consumables market, with demonstrated direct ownership of LC and sample preparation portfolios.
  • Proven track record of managing LC and Sample Preparation product lines end-to-end, including successful product introductions.
  • Deep understanding of one or more key markets: Pharmaceutical, Environmental, Food, or Clinical/ClinTox.
  • Track record of leading cross-functional teams and managing people or a department.

  • Creative, innovative, and culturally sensitive approach to problem solving.
  • Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 4–8 weeks per year.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and database tools).
